Mera:

So here we go. If you had to pick one book you wish you'd read sooner which book would you pick?
I think I'd probably say The Summoning by Kelley Armstrong. It took me forever to pick up a copy and when I did, I was hooked on the series.

Adeeb:

I think the Vampire Academy books...I'll consider the series as one...I read Vampire Academy last month, really loved it. I can't believe I haven't listened to everyone when they were saying that this is different. This is awesome!
Mera:

Lol, Adeeb I'm pretty sure I'll feel the same way. I haven't started it yet.

Adeeb:
wow...I can't wait to read the rest, i have the second book, but i wont start it until i get the rest...and i am officially on a book buying ban...so i wont be continuing it anytime soon.
Leah:

Whoa OK um yeah also vampire academy for me and also graceling by Kristin cashore, it took me a while to actually buy it cuz I wasn't sure if it was worth it and now it is my all time favourite and I've read it multiple times now.
Adeeb:

How many books have you read so far this year? How many books did you challenge yourself to read?
My answer is 44, and my goal is to read 100.
Mera:

So far I've read just about 43. I have two more books I am in the midst of reading, so those aren't added yet. My goal is 150, which means that unfortunately I haven't been reading as much as I did last year, especially since Goodreads says that I am 22 % behind where I should be.
Adeeb:
oooo Graceling...i need to read that series soon
Mera:

Lol. Another book that I have just sitting on my bookshelves. Meep.
Adeeb:
just TOO MUCH TO READ
*cries cries cries (x10000000000000000000000)

what r u all reading now
Leah:

Seriously go read it! It is aaaaaaawesome.
Adeeb:
i cant... because i have 26 books on my shelf i think, and that one is on my sister's.
Leah:

Gee and I have basically nothing to read, right now I'm reading fallen angel by heather Terrell, u all?
Mera:

Right now I am finishing up Invisible Wings by Janell Rhiannon, but I keep getting distracted by other books. I just started John Green's Looking for Alaska as well.
BTW. I thought Fallen Angel was pretty good. I just have to get more of the series.

Adeeb:
fallen angel?
Mera:

Fallen angel is pretty good. Not sure it'd be your cup of tea Adeeb.
Leah:

So far I'm loving the book since it's romantic.
Mera:

Do you eat or drink while you read?
Adeeb:
I don't. I'm too afraid to spill things on my book, but there are certain cases.
Mera:

I do, if the food is relatively safe. If I don't want to stop reading and I'm hungry or thirsty, I just carry the book with me and put it to the side as I'm getting my food. Having it there seems to be enough, lol.
Leah:

I like to chew to help concentrate, usually sour candy or gum and the occasional cup of coffee in the mornings.
Mera:

Coffee, mmm.
Leah:

I became a coffee fan this year since the whole student thing haha.
Adeeb:
Any weird habits while reading?
I actually have one...for some reason I start doing this weird humming noise. It makes me feel that I am reading faster
Mera:

I hold my finger under the next page as soon as I start the first line. I don't know why. I think it motivates me to read the page quicker.
Leah:
Lol Mera! I do that 2! Haha!
Adeeb:
I have another one as well. I read stuff written in bold/italics/one-word sentences before anything else. So these days I cover these stuff so I don't get spoiled. Lesson learned
Mera:

Lol Adeeb. I've been weaning myself away from reading ahead. I will automatically start reading the next page because a word catches my eye and have to go back to read the page I'm supposed to be reading.
And glad to know I'm not the only one, Leah lol!
And glad to know I'm not the only one, Leah lol!
Leah:
I would sometimes when I really want to know what happens next I skip the paragraph of descriptions and start where the character talks again.
Mera:

Lol. I do that, smh.
Hmm, if you could pick 5 books off of your to buy pile and get them right now, which books would you get?

Leah:
Firelight by Sophie Jordan, rapture by Lauren Kate, dreamless by Josephine Angelini, the golden lily by richelle mead and bitterblue by Kristin cashore
Adeeb:
Struck by Jennifer Bosworth, Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo,Blood Red Road by Moira Young,The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller, and Masque of the Red Death by Bethany Griffin
Mera:

Great choices! My 5 would probably be:
The Statistical Probability of Love At First Sight, Uncommon Criminals by Ally Carter, Easy by Tammara Webber, Vampire Academy #1, and Iron Fey #1

Leah:
Do u read in dead silence or does there have to be background noise?
I read best when my brother is playing his loud music through the house and I sometimes sit I the living room and read when people watch TV.
Adeeb:
It doesn't matter to me. When I want to read a book,I read it! No matter what, but I really enjoy reading when I have my iPod on, listening to my favorite songs
Mera:

I think I do best with productive noises. If it's too loud I can't concentrate on the book. I like to turn the music stations on TV on really low and let the familiar music play. After a while I forget it's on.
Adeeb:
What book cover/s did you go GAGA over
?

Leah:
The fallen series book covers are sooooo beautiful:-)
Mera:

Ooh, toughie. I don't think I have a concrete answer for that, but I will say I went gaga over Through Her Eyes by Jennifer Archer. I still haven't read it but the cover just calls to me.
Oh, I do have an answer! The Hush, Hush books! I always anticipate the covers and they haven't failed me.

Adeeb:

Mine is definitely Revived by Cat Patrick. I was STARING at the book cover for so long. MESMERIZING!
Mera:

The one with the girl looking through the ripped screen? That cover is awesome, something about her eye peeking out.
Adeeb:
yup...that's revived
Leah:
Also the nightshade series because of the titles font
Mera:

i agree Leah. the nightshade series has memorable covers. I wish the first looked a bit more like the 2nd and 3rd books.
Question: Last book you rated 5 stars?
Adeeb:
Article 5 by Kristen Simmons
Leah:
I guess lately it would be haunting violet by Alyxandra Harvey. It was a great story in my favourite place and time, London in the 1800s, like the infernal devices which are brilliant.
Mera:

I so have to read that.
Mine was a YA Contemporary 20 Boy Summer by Sarah Ockler.

Adeeb:
Have u all read Clockwork angel/prince?
Leah:
Yeah one of my fave series
Mera:
I haven't even started the series *moans*
Adeeb:

please PLEASE PLEASE LEAVE EVERYTHING and start it!
I'll definitely have to take Adeeb's advice and start Cassie Clare's series!
Thanks for listening in on (well, reading) the majority of our rambling conversation. Hopefully, you all found it entertaining!
